Meet Our Intern!

Hola, Amigos! My name is Vanessa and I have been interning at Scorpion Bay Hotel for the past few months! I just graduated San Diego State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management and I am excited to open the door to the next chapter in my life!

Meet Our Intern, Vanessa!

It has been such a great experience being part of this team who is on a mission to make a difference in San Juanico! I have been moved and inspired by all their philanthropic efforts as well as have seen what it takes to run a small business smoothly!

During my time at Scorpion Bay Hotel I have been working on research and development, marketing, and sales! It was definitely a learning curve because when I first started I had no knowledge of surfing or surfing terms but after a while I caught on! Although I still can’t surf, my desire to learn has never been higher!

I am sad to say that my time here is coming to a close but I am so grateful to have found such an amazing family who have sparked a passion for this surf hotel inside me! There are so many exciting things coming up for SBH so even though I may no longer be part of the team, I will be sure to stick around and keep up with the happenings.

I want to thank everyone at Scorpion for such an amazing few months, I’ll be back to visit very soon!
